At Iluka Cindi, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet, supporting our community, and building a sustainable future. We believe that self-expression shouldn’t come at a cost to the environment or society, and we’re constantly striving to improve our practices every day.

Since launching our sustainability journey in 2021, we’ve been working hard to create a more eco-conscious and socially responsible brand. We know that we have a long way to go, but we are fully committed to continuing our efforts, putting the right policies and processes in place to ensure progress.

Here’s an update on our journey so far:

SUSTAINABLE PLANET

Eco-Friendly Packaging: If you've ordered from us recently, you may have noticed our biodegradable mailers and garment bags. Since 2021, we’ve transitioned to 100% compostable packaging materials and, where possible, biodegradable garment bags. Our goal is to make every aspect of your order as environmentally friendly as possible, helping reduce our carbon footprint significantly.

Sustainable Resource Management: At Iluka Cindi, we’ve introduced internal changes to promote recycling and upcycling. We are committed to minimizing waste by reusing and repurposing materials wherever we can, preventing them from ending up in landfills. Additionally, we’ve partnered with organizations like Save the Children to redistribute excess clothing to those in need. Since 2022, we’ve saved over 8,000 items of clothing from going to waste through these donations.

Carbon Emissions Offset: In the future, we aim to collaborate with Greenfleet to further reduce our carbon footprint. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting partnership as we continue to build a more sustainable business.

Employee Wellbeing: Our community of employees, customers, suppliers, models, influencers, and followers are at the heart of Iluka Cindi. We prioritize our team by offering training, supporting personal growth, and fostering a healthy work-life balance. In 2023, we supported organizations such as Wishlist, Brave Foundation, Still Aware, Cancer Council, Small Steps 4 Hannah, and Breast Cancer Network Australia, to name just a few.

Carbon Neutrality: Our commitment to a sustainable future includes the goal of making Iluka Cindi as carbon neutral as possible. We promise to keep our community informed of our progress as we work towards this goal.

Plastic Reduction: Starting in 2024 and beyond, we are dedicated to reducing our use of single-use plastics. We will prioritize biodegradable alternatives and review our office supplies to ensure a minimal environmental impact.
